General Summary: One position at #070 - Jean McClung MS and one position at #071 - Benbrook MSSupervise, train, and manage campus/facility food service operation. Ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served. Meet time constraints set by menu requirements established by Central Office Administration. Meet health and regulatory codes.
Job Duties: · Produce and maintain work schedules and production records.· Direct daily activities in kitchen and cafeteria.· Maintain serving schedules and serve food items according to menu specifications defined by management policies and procedures and meet the school lunch pattern.· Ensure that food is produced safely and is of high quality according to policies, procedures, and department requirements.· Ensure that food items are stored in safe and hazard-free environment.· Work cooperatively with campus principal to accommodate temporary schedule changes, special serving requirements and to resolve personnel problems.· Maintain accurate records for monthly and annual reports.· Provide accurate reports to the Child Nutrition Services office for compiling Texas Department of Agriculture reimbursement claims.· Train employees on proper use and care of equipment and food preparation and serving.· Submit orders for food and supplies weekly.· Maintain current and accurate records of perpetual inventory of dry and frozen foods.· Prepare daily deposits and follow the district?s collection procedures for all money collected.· Complete and maintain Food Production Records daily.· Enforce adherence to Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points HACCP) guidelines for safe and sanitary work practices as set forth by the FWISD Child Nutrition Services Department.· Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: · High school diploma or GED.· Two to five years in institutional food service operations.· Completion of the FWISD Child Nutrition Services Manager Training Program.· Current Food Protection Management Certification (State Regulation).· Working knowledge of:· methods, materials, equipment and appliances used in food preparation.· effective planning and organizational skills.· oral and written communication skills.· interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.· Ability to· manage personnel and provide input for evaluations.· read recipes and instructions.· measure ingredients.· count food inventory.· count money.· read reports and other materials.· write and type routine reports and other correspondence.
